"I had the privilege of participating in the Investment Law Clinic run by TradeLab, conducted by my home university, the National University of Singapore. The Clinic gave me the opportunity to work on a live issue in international investment arbitration that had real-world impact for the Beneficiary, and potentially other actors in the field of IIA. The scope of our project was huge and seemed daunting initially, and I am thankful for the support offered by our Professors, academic mentor and our expert mentor. Whenever I had an idea to approach the project question, they were quick to give feedback to shape and improve my ideas to be translated in the final report. In addition, I enjoyed working on the project as a team with my fellow university-mates. We each had a different niche and were able to contribute to the work in our various competencies. I learned a lot from my group-mates, such as using advanced features of Microsoft Word to collaborate on shared documents. These are definitely useful skills to possess! Having completed the last semester of my undergraduate law studies, I can safely say that this Clinic is one of the best modules I have taken in law school and cannot recommend it enough to future batches of law students."
