“I have such fond memories of my time at IHEID!  It has been awhile but one thing that stands out about the Trade Law Clinic was the hands-on approach.  We were able to delve into a specific topic and run with it.  For me, one of Professor Joost Pauwelyn's strengths was that he was an academic and a practitioner.  After all, the practice of law is often about the letter of the law and how the applicatio of the law will play out in life.  For example, as an in-house legal consel in a financial institution, one has to work within the parameters of the relevant rules and regulations, as well as, be commercial-minded.”
